Estimation Engineer

1. Estimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings (AutoCAD, PDFs, and hard copies).
• Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) as per project specifications.
• Perform rate analysis for civil works (excavation, RCC, finishing, masonry, infrastructure works, etc.).
• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates for tenders and internal budgeting.
• Evaluate project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.

2. Tendering & Documentation

• Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and conditions of contract.
• Prepare tender queries and coordinate with clients/consultants.
• Finalize bidding documents, compliance sheets, and costing sheets.
• Support the tender team in submitting competitive bids on time.

3. Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, site teams, and design teams for data.
• Interact with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotations and compare rates.
• Negotiate with vendors to get market-competitive prices.

4. Technical & Market Knowledge

• Knowledge of PWD, CPWD, SOR, DAR and latest market rates.
• Stay updated with materials, labor costs, construction trends, and industry practices.
• Analyze risks and prepare alternative costing scenarios.

5. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare estimation reports, cost summaries, comparison sheets, and value engineering analysis.
• Maintain a database of material prices, subcontractor rates, and past project costs.
