Estate Manager / Facility Manager

To provide an efficient and effective Facility Management service, ensuring professional and proactive management of Facility and support services.

Supervision Received and Exercised

Receives supervision from the Head of Operations.

Essential Function Statements

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Functions:

1. Provide a comprehensive Facility Management services to ensure that all amenities are resourced and maintained to the specified standard.

2. Prepare repair and maintenance plan for the complex and implement preventive maintenance schedule.

3. Preparation of Facility management budgets and monitor subsequent performance.

4. Manage the budget efficiently and yield cost savings where possible without compromising quality of service.

5. Maintain site accommodation and services, through contractors and direct labour, in most cost-effective way.

6. Ensures occupancy of sites complies with statutory legislation.

7. Prepare effective systems for addressing to clients complaints.

8. Ensure quality of staff, appraising and developing them to ensure maximum contribution.

9. Arrange training programs at all levels within the staff.

10. Preparation of disaster management plan.

11. Proactive liaison with appropriate local and municipal authorities.

Knowledge of

1. Thorough knowledge of computers and software using standard or customized software applications appropriate to assigned tasks;

2. Ability to train, assign, organize, prioritize, motivate, supervise and evaluate the work of assigned employees and contractors;

3. Ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions for short term and long-term building systems needs;

4. Ability to develop and monitor budgets;

5. Ability to understand and read blue prints, operating manuals and specifications relating to building systems;

6. Thorough knowledge of basic maintenance, electrical, plumbing, hardware and HVAC systems;

7. Ability to demonstrate competence in computerized building control systems;

8. Demonstrate the desire to maintain career improvement

Qualifications

Will be qualified degree / holder from reputed institute/regional engineering college with experience of 7-8 years.
