JOB PURPOSE
As part of our growing commitment to sustainability, we are strengthening our Sustainability team to support the environmental transformation of our products. We are looking for a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software engineer to help evaluate and improve the environmental impact of our activities in the automotive sector.
The position will be part of PHINIA s Sustainability organization and responsible for structuring LCA models for products in production or development, using LCA software and in compliance with applicable standards (ISO 14040 and 14044, as well as automotive sector guidelines).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is based out of Bengaluru PHINIA site and will work closely with the Eco-Design Engineer located in Blois, particularly on methodology and organizational aspects.

Collaborate with Project teams, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production sites to gather the necessary data.

Will be at the heart of PHINIA s eco-design deployment, helping to highlight environmental impacts, monitor their evolution, and support Engineering teams through quantification of carbon footprint, water footprint, and other environmental indicators. This will also lead to opportunities to suggest improvements to the LCA process.

The results of environmental impact assessments will play an increasingly strategic role in decisions related to design, sourcing, and industrialization.

Create LCA analysis in the software for products according to the LCA rules, based on data provided by requester (BOM, logistics, process, energy, location, ...) and to provide a draft report (including the assumptions, the scope, ...)

Develop models by product with parameters in the software.

Propose improvement in the process to build the LCA in the software.
