Key Responsibilities: Perform high fidelity structural and thermal analysis of dynamic systems using ANSYS tools Develop simple analytical tools - following a first physical principles and/or hand analysis to guide the strategy and interpretation of the high fidelity analysis Develop tools and scripts to pre-process and post process data to evaluate large data sets quickly and efficiently. Understand and interpret experimental test data and incorporate into the simulation workflow Manipulate and access CAD data especially from NX or similar tools Collaborate with the product teams in order to understand system operation and associated requirements Develop an analysis plan, and document status and conclusions of work for communication with product development teams Provide technical guidance to other engineers within the thermal or stress analysis domain including the developing of initial analysis plans, support with tools, and review of results Serve as an Expert for the adoption of modeling and simulation within the product teams Recommend and own productivity improvements and support product teams in developing value propositions for leveraging model-based engineering initiatives What were looking for: Mechanical Engineering background Masters degree would be an advantage Direct Experience with 2D/3D FEA tools Demonstrated experience of systems engineering approach for leading modeling and or simulation activities Clear understanding of material physics for structural and thermal tasks Basic understanding of damage tolerance and fracture mechanics Passion for detailed analysis and or simulation Positive can-do attitude Initiative and ability to discover and learn independently Cooperative and collaborative mindset Robust Engineering, Six sigma or similar problem solving certification would be an advantage. 5-10 years of experience in FEA analysis preferred What we offer: We provide compensation and benefits programs intended to attract, motivate, reward, and retain an incredibly talented , globally diverse workforce at all levels within our organization.
