Equipment Manager

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage the manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHU), ensuring optimum performance, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production / Manufacturing

• Plan and monitor AHU production activities as per order schedule.
• Ensure quality standards for components like coils, filters, blowers, motors, control panels.
• Coordinate with purchase & store teams for material availability.
• Maintain production timelines and minimize rework/rejection.

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise AHU installation at customer sites.
• Perform system testing, balancing & commissioning.
• Ensure electrical & mechanical safety compliance.

3. Maintenance & Servicing

• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for AHU equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure quick restoration.
• Monitor coil cleaning, filter replacement, belt tensioning, lubrication etc.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production/maintenance records & checklists.
• Ensure AMC documentation, service history & performance tracking.
• Prepare monthly productivity, downtime & maintenance reports.

5. Team & Coordination

• Lead and manage AHU technicians & production workers.
• Conduct training sessions on AHU installation, troubleshooting & safety.
• Coordinate with design, sales, procurement & QA departments.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of HVAC & Air Handling Units.
• Understanding of CFM, static pressure, heat load calculation.
• Ability to read technical drawings & BOQ.
• Hands-on experience in coil, blower, filter & motor maintenance.
• Problem-solving ability & analytical mindset.
• Leadership and team management skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering.
• Certification in HVAC preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,640.02 - ₹64,879.33 per month
