About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and support development of industrial heat exchangers and related equipment.
  • Implement end-to-end design processes including thermal and mechanical design, materials, and fabrication.
  • Support testing, prototyping, and documentation for new product lines.
  • Conduct market and technical studies for HVAC, process, and industrial applications.
  • Interact with suppliers, fabricators, and customers to support early projects.
  • Contribute to business planning and commercialization strategies for the new vertical.
  • Travel as needed to plants, clients, and vendors across India.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, or Chemical Engineering from IIT, NIT, BITS, or equivalent.

  • 1–5 years of experience in product design, R&D, or process engineering (HVAC, pressure vessels, heat exchangers).
  • Proficiency with design/simulation tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks, HTRI, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, analytical ability, and hands-on problem-solving approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working in an evolving, growth-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel and take ownership of end-to-end projects.

Offer & Compensation Structure

Phase 1 – Fixed Period (First 18 months)

  • Compensation: As per market standard and depending on experience and skills.
  • Performance Incentives: Up to 10% of annual CTC as a performance-linked bonus, based on milestones such as:
  • Development of first working prototype
  • Completion of 2–3 customer trials of newly developed products
  • Contribution to a confirmed commercial order or new client
  • Benefits: As per company policy (travel reimbursement, project expenses, etc.).


Phase 2 – Performance-Based Equity / ESOP

  • Eligible after 18 months and achievement of agreed milestones.
  • Quantum: Typically, 0.5% – 2%, based on performance and role at grant.
  • Vesting: 3–4 years with a standard 1-year cliff.
  • Conditional upon continued involvement and contribution to business growth.


Performance Review Framework

  • Quarterly review with leadership.
  • Mid-term review at 9 months to assess progress and alignment.
  • Final review at 18 months to determine ESOP eligibility and leadership role in the vertical.


Growth Path

  • 0–6 months:

    Product learning, design familiarization, and R&D contribution.
  • 6–12 months:

    Independent handling of design or client projects.
  • 12–18 months:

    Prototype/product rollout and business development involvement.
  • Post 18 months:

    Leadership or co-founder-type role in the heat exchanger division with equity participation.
