This role involves delivering structured, pre-designed lessons focused on improving students' English language skills, particularly in writing, speaking, listening, and presenting in a technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in English language teaching, with the ability to adapt to the specific needs of students pursuing careers in IT and related fields. Know more about NIAT: https://www.niatindia.com/ Role Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Communication Skills Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience teaching English communication skills in a professional or academic setting. You will be responsible for facilitating communication skills sessions, providing individual support to students, and managing the regional operations of associate instructors. You will also report directly to the Head of Department, ensuring that the quality of teaching and student outcomes are consistently met across your region. Key Responsibilities: Facilitation of Communication Skills Sessions: Deliver pre-designed lessons aimed at enhancing students’ English communication skills, focusing on verbal and written proficiency. Student Support and Feedback: Offer personalized support to students, helping them improve language proficiency, confidence, presentation skills, and interview communication. Assessment and Monitoring: Regularly assess students’ progress through dashboards, practical exercises, and participation in class activities. Monitor student engagement and provide additional support to those struggling with communication skills or language barriers. Regional Operations Management: Oversee and manage the regional operations of associate instructors, ensuring consistent delivery of communication skills programs. Coordinate with associate instructors to ensure alignment with departmental standards, goals, and teaching methodologies. Provide support to associate instructors, addressing challenges and ensuring a high standard of teaching is maintained across the region. Regularly report to the Head of Department on regional performance, student feedback, and instructor performance to identify areas for improvement. Collaborative Work: Collaborate with other faculty members to identify and address areas where communication skills are critical in technical courses. Contribute to workshops, seminars, and extracurricular activities (e.g., public speaking workshops, debate clubs) that promote communication skills outside the classroom. Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in communication skills teaching, integrating new tools and techniques to engage students. Attend faculty development sessions to enhance your own teaching methods and contribute to the growth of the department. Participate in the continuous improvement of soft skills training programs. Other Duties: Contribute to faculty meetings, departmental activities, and the overall academic community. Assist in organizing events such as mock interviews, writing workshops, and public speaking contests to further develop students’ communication skills. Qualifications: Education: Any graduate degree or higher (preferably in English, Communication, Education, or a related field) with an overall minimum academic score of 60%. Experience: 2-5 years of experience teaching English language skills, particularly in a professional or academic context. Experience teaching communication skills to students in technical or IT-related fields is preferred but not mandatory. A proven track record in managing or coordinating teams of instructors is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong proficiency in English, with exceptional spoken and written communication skills. Ability to provide personalized feedback to students to foster improvement in communication. Familiarity with digital tools and platforms to facilitate learning (e.g., online classrooms, assessment software). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage and oversee the operations of a team of associate instructors effectively. Desirable: Certification in TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or related qualifications is a plus. Experience working with international students or students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Ability to work with students in a fast-paced, technology-driven educational environment.
