Engineering Store Officer

• Inventory Management:- Oversee the lifecycle of engineering materials, including spare parts (critical and non-critical) and consumables. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Material Receipt & Inspection:- Verify incoming goods against Purchase Orders (PO) and delivery notes. Inspect items for damage or defects and report discrepancies immediately.
• Issuance & Kitting:- Issue materials and tools only against authorized requisitions or job cards. Prepare "kits" for specific maintenance orders to ensure production teams have all necessary parts ready.
• Documentation & Reporting:- Maintain accurate records in SAP systems. Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Vouchers (MIV), and monthly consumption reports.
• Stock Verification:--- Conduct regular physical stock counts (cycle counts) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Storage & Organization:--- Maintain a logical store layout for easy retrieval. Ensure the proper storage and labelling of hazardous materials and sensitive electronic components.
• Safety & Compliance:-- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within the store. Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO, GMP).

• Technical Knowledge:--- Familiarity with engineering items, industrial spare parts, and tools.
• Software Proficiency:--- Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/WM modules), or other Material Management systems.
• Educational Background:--- A degree or diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, or an Engineering field is typically required.
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory tracking.

Reporting & Coordination

The officer typically reports to the Stores Manager or Maintenance Manager and coordinates closely with the Procurement, Production, and Quality Control departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
