Engineering Manager

As a Manager - Software Engineering (Python Developer) at our global ed-tech company located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring our development team to create innovative tech products that enhance the learning experience for global learners. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage a team of software engineers to develop and enhance platform modules. - Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices. - Conduct and oversee code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues for error-free and scalable solutions. - Optimize application performance and guide the team on scalability best practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of features. - Mentor team members to foster a culture of learning and excellence. - Document code, technical specifications, and project requirements. **Qualifications Required:** - Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in Django and Flask for web application development. - Strong experience in API development, RESTful APIs, and working with large-scale codebases. - Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, and databases like MySQL. - Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, and basics of Linux and Docker are preferred. - Proficiency in additional programming languages like Java or PHP is a plus. - Proven ability to lead and manage teams to ensure project timelines and quality. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Strong familiarity with Git for version control. - Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in dynamic environments.
