Engineering Manager

As part of the IT Engineering job family, this position is responsible for leveraging DEVOPS, and both Waterfall and Agile practices, to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction, on/off-premise, cloud-based solutions.                               

"Team Leadership: 

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and developers to deliver high-quality web applications aligned with business goals. 

- Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the engineering team. 

- Manage workload distribution, project timelines, and performance evaluations to ensure successful project outcomes.  "          

"Technical Ownership: 

- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of web applications leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Azure, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services), Microservices, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python. 

- Ensure optimal use of technologies like NGINX+, Akamai, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native solutions to deliver secure, fast, and reliable web experiences. 

- Design and implement integration strategies using microservices and deep links to connect multiple systems and applications effectively.  "            

"Architecture & Strategy: 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA teams, to define project requirements and system architecture. 

- Develop strategies for application modernization, leveraging Azure services, microservices architecture, and containerized solutions (AKS). 

- Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and scalability standards. "                      

"Operational Excellence: 

- Monitor and optimize application performance, uptime, and resource usage to ensure superior user experiences.

 - Oversee release cycles, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines using modern DevOps practices. 

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruptions.  "                                

"Stakeholder Engagement: 

- Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to understand requirements and align technical solutions with organizational objectives. 

- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and technical innovations to senior leadership. "                      

"Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications                                                 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and six (15) years of experience in Technology development/engineering                                              
• 6 years of experience in web application development and engineering, with at least 6 years in a leadership or managerial role.                                                 
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end/back-end development stacks (Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python).                                                     
• Proficiency in managing integrations using APIs, microservices, and deep linking techniques.                                                  
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
