Engineering Manager

Job Title: Engineering Manager Dams/Hydropower/PSP Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the detailed engineering activities for large-scale dams, hydropower, and pumped storage projects.
  
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including civil, structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, and electro-mechanical specialists.
  
• Ensure timely delivery of design outputs including drawings, reports, specifications, and BOQs as per project requirements and standards.
  
• Review and approve design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes (IS, BIS, ICOLD, USACE, FERC, etc.).
  
• Manage design interfaces across various disciplines to ensure seamless project integration and constructability.
  
• Supervise preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs), feasibility studies, and construction documentation.
  
• Liaise directly with clients, project authorities, and stakeholders to present technical solutions and address project issues.
  
• Act as a technical lead during meetings, reviews, and site visits with clients and contractors.
  
• Monitor progress against project schedules and coordinate design adjustments to meet milestones.
  
• Support project proposals, estimation, and business development activities by contributing technical insights and scope definitions.
  
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory); Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  
• 12–20 years of experience in detailed engineering of dams, hydropower, or PSP projects.
  
• Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  
• Strong knowledge of international and national codes and standards relevant to hydro projects.
  
• Excellent client handling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  
• Proficiency in project management tools and design software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, STAAD, HEC-RAS, etc.).
  
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
