About Role

Search Infrastructure team

ingestion, indexing, and serving results for Flipkart search



Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach the engineering team to own significant part of search infrastructure
  • Participate in building the long term strategy and blueprint for the team
  • Develop and manage standards for deliverables with focus on scalability, high availability and performance
  • Drive architectural decisions and tradeoffs and deliver with speediness and quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functional boundaries and drive alignment.
  • Be a guide and mentor to the team and drive the culture of innovation and accountability
  • Own the key functional and non-functional metrics for the team.

Requirements :-

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 10+ years of total experience and 2+ experience of managing mid sized team with track record of successful deliverables
  • Deep understanding of developing and maintaining high scale distributed systems with knowledge of sync and async architectures
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Past experience of working in fields related to information retrieval is highly desirable
