Engineering Manager - Java

Role Overview: As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading your team in daily tasks, prioritizing them, and making decisions based on changing business priorities. You will structure and facilitate the team's workflow and development process. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical requirements for your team. Fostering the team's evolution and its members' growth will also be a key part of your role, including conducting 1:1s and performance evaluations. Furthermore, you will need to plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the team in daily tasks and decision-making - Structure and facilitate the team's workflow - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to translate requirements - Foster team evolution and members' growth - Plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend development - 2+ years of experience in team management - Track record of designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable web/mobile applications - Professional experience in a technical management or leadership role - Technical mindset with an understanding of complex systems design - Strong bias towards action and a 'Get Things Done' attitude - Solutions-oriented mindset - Ability to maintain high performance in a fast-paced work environment - Excellent oral, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Bilingual in English and Japanese is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in either language is acceptable. Additional Company Details: The office location for this full-time position is in Gurugram (Wework). The development center requires you to work in the Gurugram office to establish a strong core team.
