Engineering Manager - Java

Role Overview: As an Engineering Manager at this company located in NOIDA, India, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to major projects. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership to major projects - Build and manage a team of 15-20 engineers - Optimize your own code and facilitate optimization for engineers - Manage business goals, contribute to product strategy, and aid in team development - Create clear career paths for team members and support their growth through mentoring - Perform regular performance evaluations and seek feedback - Collaborate with Product Management, Business Development, and Operations teams to deliver scalable technology solutions - Architect and drive implementation of large-scale services - Design classes with clear responsibilities - Deploy code to production and provide support for production bugs - Handle ambiguity and chaos in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Required: - Excellent leadership skills for mentoring engineers - Proficiency in system design and understanding of distributed systems - Experience with Java, PHP, Python, Linux, Apache, MySQL, solr, memcache, redis, JavaScript, ajax, etc. - Familiarity with Microservices, NoSQL databases, and various communication protocols - Exposure to functional programming and/or event-driven programming - Understanding of production and cloud architecture like AWS - Hands-on technical experience in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis - 9-12 years of experience in a top-tier product company with some team management experience - A BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent academic background from premium colleges (Note: The company acknowledges that the responsibilities associated with the role may evolve over time based on business needs.
