Computer science/engineering degree, embedding the theoretical foundations for technical activity.

• Architecturally minded hands-on engineering leader with proven track record of working with transforming businesses and teams.
• Technical and engineering leadership within a B2B Software and SaaS company of relevant scale.
• Solid experience of the application of modern architectural design principles, extending to service architectures and full multi-tenanted SaaS product development.
• Ability to get to the finer details of technology and the communicating the impact of the use of or lack of it in the product portfolio.
• Proven expertise and experience in building robust, scalable enterprise-grade products with related requirements is a necessity.
• Ability to suggest alternative technical approaches for a better experience, performance, scalability and ROI.
• Experience of broad-based API integration, extending to integrating with legacy systems with ease and without performance issues.
• An understanding of the challenges of localizing an international portfolio of products to relevant markets.
• Appreciation of the related security requirements and how to build this in from the foundation of product development.
• Experience of enabling products through data science, statistics or predictive analytics with enterprise scale would be a beneficial extra.
• Ability to join technology to markets through product development, joining product vision to product development.
• Technical/engineering leadership within a modern, scaled product business with broad portfolio of products.
• Experience of operating products that are international in deployment.
• Knowledge of HR, Payroll, Accounting, Supply Chain or Marketplace products are all beneficial extras given the breadth of the EP Portfolio. Fintech/Automation exposure and platform orientation.

• The candidate has successfully led as a Head of Engineering or Technology Leader.
• The candidate has set up / run Agile Squads, evaluated, and increased Agile maturity, drive KPI and Metrics implementation to demonstrate increase in velocity, quality, and productivity. Should be able to drive Agile and Waterfall approaches depending on the need of the project.
• Well-versed in designing feature-based, autonomous engineering/UX teams with meshed DevOps.
• Strong experience in implementing engineering process and people development with the engineering function.
• Excellent communicator and issue resolver.
• Strong strategic mindset that can marry the short, medium, and long-term direction of the business.
• Driven by Team and Technology upskill of the over arching team
• Can demonstrate experience contributing to and setting technical and engineering strategy at both product and organizational level.
• Can articulate technology vision and delivery strategy in a language that enables discussion with a technical and non-technical audience alike.
