Engineer / Sr. Engineer - MEP (Procurement & Contracts)

Job Summary:

The Procurement & Contracts Engineer will manage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP works in high-rise residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include tendering, techno-commercial evaluations, vendor finalization, contract issuance, BOQ preparation, MIS reporting, and coordination with project/FM teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Procure-to-Pay Activities

• Float tenders to qualified vendors.
• Coordinate vendor site visits and conduct pre-bid meetings with SMEs/consultants.
• Obtain techno-commercial bids and prepare comparative statements.
• Conduct techno-commercial negotiations with vendors.
• Prepare and issue LOIs to finalized vendors/contractors.
• Prepare BOQs in ERP.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders / Work Orders / Contracts and appoint vendors/contractors.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and execution; resolve issues raised by project teams.
• Prepare and issue order amendments (quantity variations, NT items, extension of time).
• Follow up on vendor bill certifications and payments.
• Coordinate with project and FM teams on all procurement and contractual matters.
• Assist in vendor performance evaluation with project teams.
  

B. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly procurement reports (order count and value).
• Maintain PRPO tracker (weekly).
• Maintain project-wise Budget vs PO/WO issued tracker.
• Maintain vendor database (material/package-wise).
  

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of

  MEP procurement

  for large-scale projects.
• Tendering, BOQ preparation, contract drafting & negotiation.
• Vendor sourcing, evaluation & management.
• ERP proficiency
• Excellent techno-commercial analysis skills.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and coordination abilities.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  

Experience Required:

• 2 to 4 years in MEP Procurement & Contracts for High-rise residential / commercial / infrastructure projects.
