Engineer / Senior Engineer – HVAC System Design & Development

Job Description Role: Engineer / Senior Engineer – HVAC System Design & Development (ICE Vehicles) Role Overview:- Responsible for the design, development, integration, and evaluation of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) systems and related components for ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, cost and weight optimization, and delivering robust solutions that meet program schedules, performance targets, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Design & development of HVAC system parts and related interior components for ICE vehicles. Lay outing of HVAC system parts in both cabin room and engine room. Vehicle-level integration and evaluation of HVAC systems as per program timelines. Understand specifications and conduct testing & validation of HVAC components. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor cost and weight at part and subsystem levels to meet targets. Plan and implement countermeasures based on design reviews, quality feedback, line issues, and testing results. Collaborate with suppliers and business partners for part development. Analyze and resolve quality issues arising from production or market feedback. Technical / Functional Skills Hands-on experience in HVAC system design and development for automotive applications. Proficiency in heat load / thermal load calculations for HVAC systems. Strong ability to analyze and initiate corrective actions for quality issues. Expertise in 3D modeling and 2D drawing (preferably using Unigraphics / NX). Good understanding of manufacturing processes and costing functions. Experience in component-level and vehicle-level testing & validation. Specific Expertise Required Prior experience in HVAC systems design & development with an Automotive OEM. Hands-on expertise with CAD modeling tools, preferably Unigraphics (NX). Behavioral Competencies Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
