Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop fire protection system designs, including fire detection, alarm, suppression, and hydrant/sprinkler systems.
  
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, hydraulic calculations, and system layouts using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or Hydraulic Calculation tools).
  
• Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure fire safety integration and code compliance.

• Oversee fire protection system installation, testing, and commissioning.
  
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to design.
  
• Prepare project documentation such as BOQs, technical reports, test reports, and as-built drawings.
  
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor submittals and evaluating technical bids.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Fire & Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Fire Protection Engineering from a recognized institution.
  
• Postgraduate or diploma qualification in Fire Protection / Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of NFPA, NBC, IS, and TAC fire codes and standards.
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite, SprinkCAD, HASS).
  
• Practical understanding of fire alarm, detection, hydrant, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
  
• Familiarity with passive fire protection, smoke management, and emergency egress design.
