Job Description

  • Apply basic principles of Gas Turbine engine operation to support MRO activities.
  • Utilize various material removal techniques including Blending, Electro-Chemical Machining, Electro-Discharge Machining, Polishing, and Ultra High-Pressure Water methods.
  • Create and manage technical packages and provide continued support as an IPT Leader.
  • Author and define repair tasks, including substantiation as a Competent Author (CA).
  • Lead technical discussions with Engineering Specialists and CVE; ensure effective project management for timely completion.
  • Support implementation of repair and approval of Component repair FAIr with MRO vendors. Optimize measurement processes to ensure efficient plant flow.
  • Assist in transferring repair capability from existing sources to MRO vendors.
  • Support Engineering for Services (EFS) in delivering solutions effectively and on time in the Repair and Overhaul service lines.
  • Manage approved documents archiving and data storage per RR process, update status in portals (Kanban, CRM, etc.) where offshore access is limited.
  • Ensure strong understanding of certification requirements, including Aircraft Interface and continued airworthiness.
  • Apply knowledge of AS9102 standards and support the FAIr process effectively.
  • Perform technical scoping of non-regular tasks with RR SPC.
  • Support offshore teams with inaccessible inputs as needed.
  • Author and define TVs, including substantiation as a Competent Author (CA).
  • Lead technical discussions with RR Specialists and CVE; ensure project deliverables are met on time.
  • Organize meetings and discussions between offshore teams and customers.
  • Provide weekly status updates to Customer SPC as necessary, and manage task priorities.
  • Identify new work opportunities and ensure a steady workload for the offshore team.
  • Manage approved documents archiving and status updates in RR Portals (Kanban, CRM) where offshore access is restricted.
  • Maintain strong understanding of certification requirements and continued airworthiness compliance.
  • Leverage software tools such as MS Office, PLM, and Kanban for data management and reporting.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Expertise in Gas Turbine engine operations and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of MRO processes and technical authoring.
  • Proficiency in repair techniques and related tools.
  • Knowledge of EASA/FAA certification and AS9102 standards.
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PLM systems, Kanban, and data management tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in MRO and Gas Turbine Engine support roles.
  • Education:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
