Job Description

Firmware Development

Writing efficient, low-level code (often in C/C++) for microcontrollers, DSPs, or microprocessors.
Implementing real-time operating systems (RTOS) when needed.

Hardware-Software Integration

Interfacing code with sensors, actuators, displays, motors, and communication modules.
Debugging interactions between hardware and firmware.

System Architecture & Design

Designing embedded system architectures based on performance, power consumption, and memory constraints.
Selecting the right microcontroller or SoC for the application.

Communication Protocols

Implementing and testing protocols like I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Modbus, USB, BLE, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.

Optimization

Ensuring code runs in limited memory and processing environments.
Reducing power consumption (critical for IoT, wearables, battery-operated devices).

Testing & Debugging

Using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and debuggers.
Performing unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests, and system validation.

Documentation & Compliance

Writing technical documentation for system design and code.
Ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262 in automotive, IEC 60601 in medical).
