Role Overview
highly skilled Embedded and Smart Home Systems & Robotics Engineer

This is a deeply hands-on, cross-disciplinary role for a builder who thrives in both innovation and execution.
What You’ll Be Working On
(Indicative — specific project details will be shared during discussions)
- Developing embedded systems and robotic architectures for next-generation Deckoviz products (including upcoming display systems, robotic companions, and spatial intelligence platforms).
- Designing and integrating microcontroller-based systems (ARM, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, etc.) for connected smart devices.
- Prototyping mechatronic subsystems: motion control, actuation, sensors, motors, lighting, and environmental interfaces.
- Building and testing IoT/smart home integrations — including Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, Matter, and other connectivity protocols.
- Working with AI/ML engineers to integrate perceptual intelligence and emotion-aware control logic into hardware systems.
- Developing real-time embedded software for sensor fusion, gesture/voice interaction, and dynamic lighting/audio synchronization.
- Contributing to PCB design, hardware schematics, and firmware optimization.
- Supporting manufacturing and system integration efforts for production-ready hardware.
- Collaborating with designers and experience teams to bring emotion, movement, and personality into physical form.
What We’re Looking For
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in
Embedded Systems Engineering
— microcontrollers, firmware, and device-level programming (C/C++/MicroPython). - Proficiency with
robotics and mechatronics
— actuator control, servo/motor drivers, kinematics, and mechanical design coordination. - Experience building
IoT and smart home systems
— device communication, edge computing, and remote control architecture. - Knowledge of
hardware-software interfacing
, PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad), and circuit design. - Familiarity with
sensor systems
(IMUs, LiDAR, ultrasonic, touch, camera-based sensing, etc.). - Exposure to
AI/ML integration in embedded or robotic systems
(TensorFlow Lite, edge inference frameworks). - Working understanding of
wireless protocols
(Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Matter, MQTT, etc.). - Bonus: Experience with
Android Things, Google TV, or Smart Display platforms
is a huge plus.
