Title: EDI Developer Location: Chennai / Trivandrum / Cochin Experience: 4+ Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Edifecs EDI Consultant with 4+ years of IT experience and 2+ years of hands-on expertise in Edifecs Healthcare Suite , Java/JavaScript , and EDI integrations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Edifecs solutions to support healthcare payer systems and EDI transaction processing. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to mentor internal teams and work closely with client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and manage Edifecs Healthcare Suite (v9.x) , ensuring optimal performance and compliance. Design, develop, and deploy EDI solutions using Edifecs tools like SpecBuilder , MapBuilder , and EAM . Create and update maps and guidelines (XML, DFF, PFF) for healthcare EDI transactions including 837 I/P/D, 835, 834, 820, 270/271, 278, 277, 275, 997, and 999 . Collaborate with client architects and project managers to define architecture, implementation strategies, and schedules. Work closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver EDI solutions aligned with business rules and functional logic. Mentor and train internal teams on Edifecs products and best practices. Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies and use Git for version control and collaboration. Identify and troubleshoot system-level issues and provide technical explanations and fixes to stakeholders. Lead EDI product upgrade initiatives , understanding the related technical and business challenges. Ensure end-to-end EDI process flows meet regulatory and operational requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications 4+ years of IT industry experience with at least 2 years in Edifecs tools and healthcare EDI . Proficiency in Edifecs SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, EAM , and EDI transaction standards (X12 formats) . Strong knowledge of Java , JavaScript , XML , and data transformation concepts . Experience working in Agile environments and using Git for source control. Prior experience in payer systems and a solid grasp of healthcare business rules . Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong presentation, interpersonal, and mentoring skills .
