Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with all relevant codes and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Wiring: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, local codes).
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Quickly and effectively diagnose and repair electrical faults.
• Testing & Commissioning: Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the locations of wiring and equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as state and local electrical codes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Documentation: Complete required documentation for all work performed, including work orders, service reports, and inventory logs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience as an Electrician.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
• Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Skills: Expertise in using various electrical and hand tools, diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters), and power tools.
• Other: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred (Optional):

• Experience with [specific systems, e.g., low voltage, fire alarm systems, generators, industrial machinery].
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and technologies.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in various environments, including cramped spaces, heights, and diverse weather conditions.
• Comfortable standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working from ladders for extended periods.
