Key Responsibilities 1. Access Control and Monitoring: Monitor and control all entry and exit points (main gate, entrance doors, emergency exits) for staff, visitors, patients, and vehicles. Verify the identity and purpose of visitors, issuing and collecting visitor passes according to hospital protocols. Prevent unauthorized access to restricted and sensitive areas (e.g., operation theatre suites, pharmacy, records room). Screen deliveries and materials entering the hospital premises. 2. Patrolling and Surveillance: Conduct regular foot patrols of the hospital building, grounds, and parking areas to detect and deter security risks, suspicious activity, and unauthorized individuals. Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, reporting and responding to any irregularities immediately. Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are securely locked outside of operating hours or as per policy. Check for potential safety hazards such as fire risks, spills, or blocked pathways, and report them promptly. 3. Emergency and Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to all security alarms, emergency codes (e.g., fire, medical emergency, security threat), and incidents such as theft, vandalism, or conflict. Assist in orderly evacuation procedures during fire drills, disasters, or other emergencies. Liaise and coordinate with the police, fire department, and other external emergency services when necessary. 4.
