Electrician

Min.experience of 4-6 years as an industrial electrician, preferably in bio-fertilizer, chemical, agricultural, or similar manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, transformers, control panels, PLCs, and power distribution.

Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation systems is a plus.

Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control centre(s) (MCCs), and electrical instrumentation.

Knowledge of electrical standards and safety practices.

Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as mustimeter(s), oscilloscopes, and insulation resistance testers.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams.

Attention to detail and safety, ensuring all electrical work is performed to high standards and complies with safety regulations

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for plant equipment, including motors, control panels, transformers, and power distribution systems.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues related to machinery, control systems, and utility equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and boilers.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform installations, repairs, and upgrades.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations to maintain safety in all plant electrical work.

Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to plan and execute electrical work with minimal disruption to plant production.

Calibrate and configure control systems such as PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation used in the bio-fertilizer production process.

Maintain accurate documentation of electrical repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.

Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control centre (s), and electrical distribution panels.

Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or equipment failures to minimize production downtime.

Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper electrical connections and compliance with plant safety standards.

Work safely, following all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety practices.
