Electrical Supervisor (Maintenance)

Job Description

An Electrical Maintenance Supervisor's primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the electrical maintenance and repair operations within an organization. This includes planning, scheduling, and supervising electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and training and mentoring staff. Detailed Responsibilities: Supervision and Coordination: Overseeing the work of electricians, technicians, and other relevant staff, ensuring efficient and effective task completion. Planning and Scheduling: Developing maintenance schedules, assigning tasks, and coordinating projects related to electrical systems and equipment. Maintenance and Repair: Conducting routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, and identifying and resolving issues quickly. Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to electrical safety regulations, codes, and company policies. Quality Control: Inspecting work for quality and adherence to specifications, verifying that projects are completed according to plans. Training and Development: Mentoring and training junior staff, providing technical guidance, and ensuring continuous skill development. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and other relevant documentation. Budget Management: Participating in project planning, budgeting, and cost control measures. Collaboration: Working with other departments to ensure operational goals are met and to support collaborative projects. Inventory Management: Monitoring and ordering electrical supplies to ensure adequate stock levels. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving electrical issues, including complex malfunctions and failures. Performance Evaluation: Assessing and evaluating the performance of staff, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
