Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead statutory/regulatory affairs and drive electricity infra structure cost optimization across our operations. The role requires strong knowledge of the Electricity Act 2003, MERC regulations, green energy policies, PPAs, and the economics of power supply to support long-term efficiency and cost savings. He should be knowledgeable about the circulars in effect for power supply by different utilities in Maharashtra & relating the same in

other states.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all statutory and regulatory requirements related to electricity, Power supply approvals, MERC SOP, ensuring
• compliance with the Electricity Act 2003 and MERC/state utilities guidelines.
• Liaise with utilities (Tata Power, MSEDCL, BEST, Adani Electricity ) and regulatory bodies for approvals, filings, and
• hearings.
• Analyse electricity economics to optimize operational costs, applicable tariffs, across sites.
• Evaluate capex vs. opex trade-offs, recommending long-term cost-effective solutions.
• Lead end-to-end management of PPAs (solar and other green energy sourses) including evaluation, negotiation, and
• execution.
• Drive green energy initiatives and renewable power procurement strategies.
• Monitor tariff orders, regulatory updates, and policy changes impacting cost and compliance.

Key Skills

• Strong understanding of electricity regulations and renewable energy policies.
• Expertise in tariff analysis, power cost modelling, and PPA management.
• Commercial acumen to assess investment decisions and lifecycle costs.
• Effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Background

• 1520 years of power sector experience (regulatory, DISCOM, power procurement, or renewable energy).
• Background in Tata Power, MSEDCL, BEST, or similar organisations preferred.
• Degree in Electrical engineering, Energy Auditor preferred.
