Electrical Estimator

Role Overview: As an Electrical Estimation Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in handling electrical estimation, tendering, and cost analysis. Your responsibilities will include preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents, supplier cost comparisons, and ensuring effective cost control measures. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Take-Off (MTO) based on project specifications. - Analyze electrical project requirements and generate accurate cost estimates considering material, labor, overheads, and contingencies. - Evaluate vendor quotations and create detailed cost comparison statements for cost-effectiveness. - Conduct regular market research on electrical materials and maintain updated cost databases. - Prepare and submit tender documents, bid proposals, and prequalification documents. - Conduct thorough technical and commercial bid evaluations for subcontractors and suppliers. - Respond promptly and professionally to Request for Quotations (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and tender queries from clients and consultants. - Review contractual terms and conditions and provide valuable inputs for negotiation purposes. - Verify client invoices, subcontractor bills, and progress claims to ensure accuracy. - Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, relevant standards (IEC, IS, NBC, NEC, etc.), and safety regulations. - Collaborate effectively with the procurement team to facilitate timely purchase and delivery of materials. - Provide necessary technical support, drawings, and documentation to the project execution team. - Develop detailed electrical layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable routing plans, and panel schedules using AutoCAD. - Review and make modifications to drawings based on client requirements, consultant feedback, and site conditions. - Ensure that all designs and Bills of Quantities adhere to electrical codes and safety standards.
