Job Description

We're a repute transformer manufacturing company seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the testing and inspection of power and distribution transformers. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards before they reach our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and special type tests on power and distribution transformers, including but not limited to:
• Routine tests: Winding resistance, voltage ratio and polarity, no-load loss, short-circuit impedance, and insulation resistance.
• Type tests: Temperature rise, impulse voltage, short-circuit withstand, and noise level tests.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports and documentation for all transformers tested.
• Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) in the presence of customer representatives.
• Coordinate and attend third-party inspections and witness tests, including those at external labs like CPRI (Central Power Research Institute).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the testing process.
• Ensure all testing procedures adhere to relevant national and international standards (e.g., IS, IEC, ANSI).
• Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to improve product quality and testing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in testing and inspection of power and distribution transformers in a transformer manufacturing company.
• In-depth knowledge of transformer principles, design, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with various transformer testing standards
• Experience with CPRI tests and procedures is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment such as tan delta testers, transformer turns ratio meters, and impulse generators.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
