Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team for in-house and ongoing site projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role requires both office-based design work and site-based supervision to ensure successful project completion. It is a intermitting position. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Design electrical systems for new projects and retrofit existing systems. Prepare detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams for systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and emergency backup systems. Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards. Select appropriate electrical equipment, components, and materials. Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems on-site. Coordinate with contractors, electricians, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical issues related to electrical systems. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems during and after project completion. Identify and resolve electrical issues quickly to minimize downtime and project delays. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical) and departments to ensure integrated system designs. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in electrical design, installation, or maintenance, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects. Experience with site-based work and contractor coordination is a plus. Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar). Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Certifications: Electrical Engineer license (depending on local requirements) is a plus. Working Conditions: Office and site-based work. Occasional travel to project sites may be required. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate project timelines.
