Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Draftsman to join our Puducherry office. The ideal candidate will create accurate and detailed electrical drawings, collaborate with engineers, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and layout drawings for oil and gas facilities using AutoCAD.
• Well versed in preparing of electrical, instrument and Fire and gas deliverables such as Equipment layout ,
• Lighting and small power layout, Single line diagram, Interconnection wiring drawings, Loop drawings, cable tray layout, Cable schedule etc.
• Shall coordinate with other disciplines for preparation of supports for electrical equipment's, instruments, panels, trays etc. and perform clash checks.
• Shall be able to develop the drawings independently based on specifications and design inputs from Engineer
• Review project specifications, codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, API), and standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in designs.
• Well versed in AutoCAD 2D and 3D
• Conduct revisions and updates to existing electrical drawings based on project changes, ensuring all modifications are well-documented.
• Assist in the preparation of equipment lists, cable schedules, and installation details relevant to oil and gas projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3–10 years in electrical drafting or design, preferably in oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, and knowledge of Revit, ETAP, or Dialux is a plus.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and client specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, team collaboration, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
