Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Planning and Design Engineer (Electrical) to manage the design, planning, and coordination of electrical systems for various projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in load calculations, electrical layouts, and project scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review electrical designs including SLDs, cable routing, lighting layouts, and panel schedules.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing as per project requirements and applicable standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes (IS, IEC, NEC, etc.).
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, and civil teams for integrated design delivery.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD or other design tools.
• Review vendor/subcontractor technical submissions for compliance.

Planning Responsibilities:

• Develop project schedules and monitor progress using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
• Coordinate material requirements, manpower planning, and site activities to align with project timelines.
• Assist in preparing work breakdown structures (WBS), bar charts, and resource histograms.
• Track design and drawing submissions, approval cycles, and procurement milestones.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and planning software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, Revit MEP (optional), MS Project/Primavera
• Understanding of project lifecycle, coordination, and scheduling
• Good documentation, communication, and presentation skills

Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

[2-4+] years of experience in electrical planning and design roles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
