Job Summary:

The Education Counselor is responsible for guiding students and parents through academic, career, and personal development decisions. They provide information on educational programs, assist with applications and admissions, and support students in selecting the right academic paths aligned with their goals, interests, and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Counseling:
• Advise students on academic programs, course selection, and career pathways.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help students identify strengths, interests, and career goals.
• Support students in developing educational plans that meet academic and personal aspirations.
• Admissions & Enrollment:
• Provide detailed information about the institution’s programs, admission procedures, and eligibility criteria.
• Assist prospective students with the application process, documentation, and interview preparation.
• Follow up with applicants to ensure smooth enrollment and orientation.
• Career Guidance:
• Offer career counseling, aptitude assessments, and workshops on study skills, time management, and goal setting.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of career trends, job markets, and educational opportunities locally and abroad.
• Public Relations & Outreach:
• Represent the institution at education fairs, school visits, and community events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, and industry partners.
• Prepare and deliver presentations about programs and career outcomes.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, inquiries, and admissions data.
• Prepare counseling reports and contribute to marketing or recruitment strategies.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to enhance student satisfaction and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, , Counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Certification in career counseling or student guidance (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in educational counseling, admissions, or student services.
• Strong knowledge of local and international education systems.

• Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/admissions software.

Work Environment:
