Role Overview
The Education Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and managing all educational programs at the
AIFF-FIFA-Telangana Talent Academy
in Hyderabad under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS). This includes overseeing academic, vocational, and life-skills education for players, ensuring their holistic development in parallel with their football training.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Coordination
- Liaise with local schools, online education providers, tutors, and AIFF's education team to ensure uninterrupted education for all players.
- Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and maintain updated educational records.
- Facilitate school enrollments, board registrations (CBSE, State Boards, Open Schooling), and timely exam preparations.
- Curriculum Support & Learning Enhancement
- Assess the educational needs of each player and arrange remedial, bridge, or advanced learning sessions as needed.
- Ensure availability of textbooks, learning aids, and access to digital/online platforms.
- Promote multilingual learning and academic flexibility based on players' backgrounds.
- Life Skills & Vocational Development
- Implement structured life skills programs (e.g., communication, hygiene, digital literacy, goal setting, career awareness).
- Coordinate with vocational training providers to prepare players for career options beyond football.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a bridge between AIFF, the academy’s house parents/coaches, schools, parents, and local education authorities.
- Ensure compliance with state education regulations and proper integration of players into local academic ecosystems.
- Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain a detailed educational database for each player, tracking both academic and non-academic progress.
- Submit monthly educational reports to the TDS core team at AIFF.
- Collaborate with counselors and support staff to resolve educational or behavioral challenges.
Essential
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in school administration, youth education programs, or residential learning setups.
- Familiarity with Indian education systems (CBSE, State Boards, NIOS).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
