No: of Position: 1 Location: Kochi Duration- One year Contract About Project Samagra Shiksha Kerala has partnered with Kerala Startup Mission to set up and run Centres for Early Innovation across Kerala. This project is part of the World Bank aided centrally sponsored STARS scheme which aims to promote STEM education in schools and create a culture of tinkering and making. The program aims to reach every student in the schools and inculcate curiosity and aptitude for technology in their formative years, so that they can go on and use these skills for problem solving and innovating. And as part of this objective, KSUM intends to publish a library of projects to aid teachers in the delivery of key concepts in physics, chemistry, biology and maths in the classrooms. Through these projects every student will get to see the potential of digital fabrication and interact with various machines in the lab. About Role This role merges the function of a Content Creator, Editorial Coordinator, and STEM Educator, responsible for translating high-level curriculum frameworks into publishable, engaging, and inclusive learning content. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys creating and delivering high quality content which incorporates visual elements. This includes support in developing and editing STEM-based learning modules, and ensuring timely publication across formats—print, digital, and multimedia. The role is central to simplifying STEM concepts, promoting equity in access, and transforming the CEIs into creative, skill-building spaces for underserved schools and students in Kerala. Responsibilities Oversee the learning modules created by subject matter experts and improve them. Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to decision-making processes. Work with the in-house team to make the content more legible, attractive and understandable for the students. Publish the library of projects in online and offline formats and make it accessible for students across the State. Manage project timelines and meet publication deadlines. Ensure quality of documentation by making it error free and adhering to in-house style guides and industry standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Minimum 3 years of experience, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working on STEM projects, teaching or creation of learning content. Ability to create and manage content across print, digital, video, and blog formats. Strong interest in hands-on science education, especially in electronics, physics, and tinkering-based learning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and/or Malayalam. Age – Below 35 Years as of 01/01/2025 Preferred Skills An ideal candidate should have one or more of the below. Proven editorial and coordination skills with a focus on quality and timely delivery. Experience in content writing, editing and delivering outcomes in multiple formats. Familiarity and/or interest in project-based learning, STEM clubs, or tinkering labs. Passion for working with young learners, particularly in students in under-resourced schools. Salary & Other Benefits: Monthly Salary – Rs. 40000/- including conveyance allowance. In addition to the salary, there will be other allowances and reimbursement as per KSUM policies.
