Edifecs Developer

We are looking for an experienced Edifecs Developer with strong expertise in healthcare EDI transactions and Edifecs tools. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting EDI solutions using the Edifecs platform for healthcare payers or providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support EDI solutions using Edifecs SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and XEngine
• Work extensively on healthcare EDI transactions such as 834, 837, 835, 820, 270/271, 276/277
• Develop and customize Edifecs mappings, rules, and workflows
• Perform EDI onboarding, trading partner setup, and testing
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI processing and production issues
• Coordinate with business, QA, and external trading partners
• Support enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance of Edifecs applications
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and industry standards are met

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Edifecs development
• Strong hands-on experience with Edifecs tools (SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, Rule Editor, XEngine)
• Deep knowledge of Healthcare EDI and HIPAA transactions
• Experience with EDI validation, compliance, and error handling
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience working in payer or healthcare domain
• Good understanding of healthcare business workflows

Good to Have

• Experience with Edifecs versions 7.x / 8.x
• Knowledge of Java, XML, XSD, and Web Services
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• Prior experience in claims processing or enrollment systems

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in client interaction and offshore–onsite coordination
