Role & responsibilities

Shift Supervision of Refinery operations

• Supervision and management of refinery plant operations by overseeing activities in the assigned shift including equipment setup, monitoring performance, and resolving any issues that arise.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs to maintain essential operational parameters and established norms for MPCD, GE, Trans fat etc to accomplish quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for giving and receiving oil and storage of oil including Fractionation, Expeller, solvent and packing teams
• for giving and receiving oil and storage of oil..

Quality Management

• Collaborate with the QC /R & D team for bi-hourly sample testing for consistency in quality, and adjust the schedules and processes accordingly.

Management of raw materials, consumables and spares

• Maintain shift-wise stock of feed & oil, and prepare a shift-wise report for raw material and chemicals consumption for records and review.
• Ensure availability of critical spares & consumables required, and maintain necessary records.

Management of Assets, Upkeep and Preventive Plan

• Responsible for managing assets w.r.t equipment, measuring and monitoring instruments & tools etc in a perfect running condition.
• Collaborate with maintenance to get the routine maintenance jobs executed in the shift (elect-mech).

Safety and regulatory compliances

• Ensure the use of PPE, machine guards and other safety devices to accomplish the safety of employees & assets by spotting potential hazards & near-miss reporting.
• Ensure shift operations are compliant with regulatory requirements such as Halal, KOSHAR, ISO, FSSAI, and Food safety standards etc, and generate relevant records and reports.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

• Implement 5S to achieve hygiene & housekeeping standards and a clutter-free, organised workplace.
• Identify waste and losses and take necessary actions to minimize/eliminate it, escalate to the senior Management/HOD for consultation and implementation.

People Management, MIS and Reporting

• Deploy manpower to run the shift operations, assign responsibilities, arrange for necessary resources, and monitor performance
• Ensure skilling &reskilling of manpower for maintaining requisite skill sets through training programs

Maintain shift-wise log book to record raw material consumptions, daily production and other operational parameters, and share with the HOD for review.

Preferred candidate profile

Level of Education

B.Tech./ B.E. Engineering /Food Technology

06 -08 years of relevant experience
