Ecommerce Specialist

As an E-commerce Specialist at Veloris Global, you will be responsible for leading the initiative to build and grow a large-scale E-commerce platform for the UAE and other GCC markets. Your key responsibilities will include developing a scalable website capable of managing a vast product catalog, selecting and implementing the right platform, optimizing the website for market expansion and localization, building and leading a specialized team, setting up operations and growth strategies, and ensuring compliance and performance metrics. You will be tasked with building a scalable E-commerce website from scratch, capable of managing 5,000+ products with multiple variants. You will also be responsible for selecting and implementing the appropriate platform to support both UAE and future GCC expansion, as well as managing product catalog setup, including bulk uploads, categorization, pricing, and localization for regional markets. Additionally, you will optimize the website for the UAE market initially, with adaptability for other GCC countries, ensuring language, currency, and compliance readiness for GCC rollouts. You will research and implement best practices for cross-border E-commerce operations and establish standard operating procedures for E-commerce workflows. Furthermore, you will recruit, train, and lead a specialized E-commerce team comprising developers, catalog managers, logistics coordinators, and customer support. You will establish SOPs for E-commerce operations and act as the strategic lead for scaling operations across GCC markets. Your role will also involve implementing order management, returns, and customer service processes tailored to GCC customers, collaborating with finance and accounting for pricing strategy, VAT handling, and performance reporting, driving organic growth through E-commerce SEO optimization and product visibility strategies, and utilizing analytics tools to track performance, conversion rates, and customer behavior for continuous improvement in user experience. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field, along with at least 5 years of proven experience in E-commerce website development and management. You should possess expertise in Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento, with experience in managing multi-country setups. Strong knowledge of large catalog management, familiarity with ERP/CRM integration and automation tools, and leadership skills to build and scale a team from scratch are essential requirements.
