Experience Required: 10 – 15 Years (preferably in Ferro Alloys, Steel, or Heavy Industrial Plants)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager – Mechanical will be responsible for ensuring smooth mechanical operations, maintenance, and reliability of equipment and utilities in a Ferro Alloys plant. The role involves managing preventive and breakdown maintenance, leading a team of engineers/technicians, improving plant availability, and supporting continuous production with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all mechanical maintenance activities in Ferro Alloys furnaces, conveyors, crushers, gas cleaning plants, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and implement quick solutions to minimize downtime.
• Plan and monitor spare parts inventory, procurement, and cost optimization.
• Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with production and electrical departments for smooth plant operations.
• Implement best practices to improve equipment life cycle and plant reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Support in shutdown, overhauling, and commissioning of plant equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, and reports for management review.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in Ferro Alloys or Steel plants.
• Hands-on experience in handling furnaces, crushers, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning software (SAP/CMMS preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of safety practices and statutory compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
