About The Role

Django Report Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic reports using Jinja2 templating language and Django ORM.
• Translate documented business requirements into accurate and insightful reports.
• Implement best practices for report design, performance, and scalability.
• Work independently in a Kanban-driven environment with daily stand-ups and progress tracking.
• Identify trends, optimize report generation processes, and recommend improvements to the custom-built reporting system.
• Collaborate with team members and leads to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Provide and accept constructive feedback to continuously improve the team’s deliverables.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Relational Databases and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Jinja2 or similar templating languages.
• Experience in other reporting frameworks such as JasperReports.
• Proficiency in Object Relational Mapping (ORM) systems, particularly Django ORM.
• Exposure to MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Bigtable, Apache Hadoop).
• Familiarity with Payroll, Accounting, or Construction domains.
• Active participation in open-source projects or technical communities.
