Role Description

 We are looking for a skilled Django Developer to join our team full-time at our Pune office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust back-end solutions, integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic, managing databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, build, and deliver innovative solutions that align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Django and Django REST Framework

Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate APIs and deliver seamless solutions

Design and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and reliability

Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while following best practices

Familiar with code versioning system

Create and maintain API documentation

Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Programming

• Strong understanding of Python 3.x and OOP principles
• Familiarity with Python data structures and algorithms (basic to intermediate)

Web Development (Django)

• Hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Understanding of MVC/MVT architecture
• Knowledge of models, views, serializers, URL routing, and querysets

APIs & Backend Concepts

• Building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Working with JSON and API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)

Database & ORM

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite)
• Ability to write efficient ORM queries, joins, and aggregations

Version Control

• Proficient with Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket
• Basic understanding of branching, merging, and pull requests

Testing

Experience with unit testing using pytest, unittest, or Django’s testing framework

Good to Have / Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with Docker, Postman, or CI/CD pipelines
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for API integration understanding)
• Exposure to AWS / cloud services
• Basic understanding of integrating AI/ML features into backend systems (e.g., creating APIs to serve AI models or consuming external AI services/APIs)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience

  as a Django Developer or in backend web development.
