Company Description

Hand in Hand India is a development organization focused on alleviating poverty through a unique integrated community development approach called the Five Pillar Programme. This program encompasses women empowerment, child labor elimination, microfinance, health, environment, IT, and governance. The organization has positively impacted over a million poor families in rural India. Hand in Hand India operates in 8 Indian states and extends its successful model to 7 countries across 3 continents, including Afghanistan, South Africa, Kenya, Brazil, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a District Coordinator located in Mysore. The District Coordinator will oversee the implementation of various community development projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with local stakeholders, monitoring and evaluating project progress, managing resources, and providing support to field staff. The role requires regular field visits, conducting training sessions, and preparing reports for higher management.

Qualifications

Project management, Coordination, and Resource management skills
Experience in community development, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct field visits and facilitate training sessions
Proficiency in local language and working knowledge of English
Degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or related field
Experience in the development sector is a plus
