Job Description

A dispatch supervisor manages the dispatch team and ensures the efficient and safe execution of a company's dispatch and logistics. Their responsibilities include:

Dispatch team managementSupervising the dispatch team, providing coaching and work instructions, and ensuring the dispatch routing software is used efficiently
Data entryEnsuring dispatchers enter company and customer data into the transportation software
Load planningWorking with load planners and outside carriers to ensure dispatchers execute load plans efficiently
CommunicationCommunicating with customers, sales representatives, and carriers about pick up and delivery information
Incident reportingReporting accidents and incidents to the relevant departments
TrainingEnsuring dispatchers are properly trained and oriented to the company, job, and industry requirements
Record keepingMaintaining records of dispatched calls, employee productivity, and vehicle and equipment maintenance
Transportation regulationsKeeping track of transportation regulations
Project managementPlanning and tracking project man hours to ensure customer budgets are adhered to
Performance monitoringMonitoring dispatcher calls to ensure optimal performance and professionalism
Driver schedulingScheduling driver work hours, downtime, and lunch breaks
Statistical dataSummarizing statistical data such as the number of rides provided, service hours, and mileage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:

Day shift
Fixed shift
Weekend availability

Supplemental Pay:

Overtime pay
Yearly bonus

Work Location: In person
