Job Title:

Dispatch Supervisor / Delivery Supervisor / Logistics Supervisor

Job Purpose:

To oversee the dispatch, routing, and delivery of goods to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient distribution. Responsible for planning daily dispatch operations, supervising delivery personnel, coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams, and maintaining delivery performance standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Dispatch Operations Management

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily dispatch activities.
  • Allocate routes and delivery assignments to drivers and delivery staff.
  • Ensure proper loading of goods as per delivery orders and safety standards.
  • Monitor dispatch schedules to maintain on-time deliveries.

2. Delivery Coordination

  • Track real-time delivery progress and resolve delays or issues.
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, delays, or special instructions.
  • Ensure delivery documentation (invoices, challans, proof of delivery) is accurate and complete.

3. Team Supervision

  • Supervise delivery drivers, helpers, and dispatch staff.
  • Conduct daily briefings on delivery priorities and safety guidelines.
  • Train new staff on dispatch protocols, safety, and customer service.

4. Inventory & Documentation

  • Coordinate with warehouse for order picking, packing, and ready-to-dispatch items.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatched shipments, delivery logs, return items, and discrepancies.
  • Handle returned goods and coordinate with the warehouse for proper processing.

5. Vehicle & Route Management

  • Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained, serviced, and road-ready.
  • Optimize delivery routes to reduce travel time and fuel costs.
  • Monitor fuel usage, vehicle logs, and driver compliance.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure safe handling and transportation of goods.
  • Enforce company policies, delivery SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Address customer complaints related to deliveries and take corrective action.

Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

  • Knowledge of logistics, delivery routing, and dispatch operations.
  • Ability to use dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and ERP tools.
  • Understanding of inventory management and delivery documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in dispatch, delivery management, warehouse operations, or logistics supervision.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license (in some roles), knowledge of local routes, and experience handling delivery fleets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
