The
Director of Product Management - Residential Mortgage Applications
leads the inbound product management
function for JazzX s enterprise-grade Residential Mortgage application. This role is accountable for defining whatgets built and why, translating complex customer, regulatory, and business needs into clear product requirements and execution-ready roadmaps. The Director owns product discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, and delivery across end-to-end mortgage application workflows, with a strong emphasis on
enterprise readiness, compliance, scalability, and AI-powe'red capabilities
. This role manages a team of product managers and works in close partnership with a dedicated outbound product management function responsible for go-to-market strategy, positioning, and customer-facing enablement allowing this role to remain deeply focused on building the right product.
The role collaborates closely with engineering, design, AI research, compliance, security, and forward-deployment teams, and requires staying current with advances in

Core Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own and evolve the
product vision and roadmap
for JazzX s Residential Mortgage application. - Translate customer needs, regulatory requirements, and operational constraints into clear, prioritized product initiatives.
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term architectural and platform considerations.
- Partner closely with outbound product management to ensure roadmap alignment with market needs and customer feedback.
Application Ownership
- Define product requirements across
end-to-end application workflows
, including but not limited to: - User and borrower-facing experiences
- Data ingestion, validation, and document workflows
- Decisioning, review, and exception handling
- Operational, administrative, and post-processing workflows
- Ensure workflows are configurable and scalable to support multiple enterprise customers, geographies, and operating models.
- Embed compliance, auditability, and risk-management requirements directly into product design.
AI-Driven Product Capabilities
- Lead the definition and delivery of
AI-powe'red functionality
within the mortgage application, including intelligent automation, decision support, and workflow optimization. - Partner with AI research teams to ensure models are production-grade, explainable, and compliant with financial services standards.
- Make informed trade-offs between automation and human-in-the-loop workflows to balance efficiency and risk.
Enterprise-Grade Product Execution
- Ensure the product meets enterprise expectations for:
- Scalability, reliability, and performance
- Security, privacy, and data protection
- Compliance, audit trails, and regulatory oversight
- Role-based access, configurability, and operational controls
- Define non-functional requirements in partnership with engineering, security, and compliance teams.
- Influence architectural decisions to support extensibility and long-term maintainability.
Build vs. Buy Decisions
- Evaluate when to build capabilities internally versus leveraging third-party or commercial solutions.
- Assess trade-offs across speed to market, cost, integration complexity, and long-term differentiation.
- Ensure all integrations align with JazzX s enterprise and AI platform standards.
Metrics & Impact
- Define and track
product-specific and outcome-driven metrics
, including: - Product usage, adoption, and feature engagement
- Customer onboarding time and time-to-value
- Automation rates and operational efficiency gains
- Accuracy, quality, and exception rates
- Use data to inform roadmap decisions, prioritization, and investment trade-offs.
- Drive a strong culture of measurable impact and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of inbound product managers.
- Establish strong standards for product discovery, requirements quality, and execution rigor.
- Serve as a senior product partner to engineering, design, AI/ML, compliance, security, and outbound product teams.
- Clearly communicate complex product and domain concepts to executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience
-
10+ years
of product management experience, with a strong background in enterprise SaaS or platform products. - Proven experience owning complex, workflow-driven applications in
financial services
. - Experience managing product managers and leading inbound product functions.
- Demonstrated experience delivering
AI-enabled products
in production environments.
Domain & Technical Expertise
- Financial services experience is
required
. - Residential Mortgage or lending experience is
preferred
, but not required. - Strong understanding of regulated environments, enterprise buyers, and compliance-driven product development.
- Working knowledge of modern AI/ML concepts, including model lifecycle, data dependencies, and human-in-the-loop systems.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of cross-functional influence.
- Experience setting high standards for product craft and mentoring senior product talent.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus
