Director of Operations

Urban Milker is a company dedicated to revolutionizing the dairy industry by providing fresh, raw, and unadulterated milk to customers in tier 3 and 4 cities. With a focus on quality, sustainability, and empowering local farmers, our farm in Sameli, Katihar, serves as the cornerstone of our mission. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee and enhance the daily functions of Urban Milker. In this role, you will be tasked with managing supply chain logistics, ensuring product quality, optimizing production processes, and leading a team towards operational excellence. As we venture into the retail sector, your responsibilities will also involve developing and supervising retail operations, establishing distribution networks, and ensuring seamless execution. Responsibilities: - Manage the entire dairy supply chain, from milk collection to delivery. - Uphold hygiene, safety, and quality standards in milk processing and packaging. - Implement efficient operational workflows to enhance productivity and reduce wastage. - Coordinate with farmers, logistics teams, and delivery staff. - Handle inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships. - Monitor and enhance operational KPIs such as production efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Lead, train, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. - Collaborate with co-founders and various departments to align operations with business objectives. - Develop and oversee retail operations, including the setup of distribution channels and ensuring product availability. - Identify and engage with retail partners to expand Urban Milker's market presence. - Track retail sales performance and devise strategies to boost revenue and customer engagement. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management within the dairy industry. - Willingness to relocate to or currently based in Katihar or Purnia. - Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. - Proficient in supply chain management and process optimization. - Skilled in data analysis and operational reporting. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Previous experience in retail operations and distribution management is advantageous.
