Job Description

  • Shall be part of transaction team and work on originating, structuring, negotiating and executing transactions which will inter alia involve pitching and credit profiling (financial and market analysis/ due diligence, rating and industry report reviews, assessing trends in debt market, soft market circling) for existing and prospective Borrowers / Issuers across Corporates and Family Offices, Financial Sponsors and Financial Institutions.
  • Close coordination with various stakeholders (including Coverage, operations, Agency, other banks, etc) in the documentation and disbursement of various transactions (including the ability to work with legal counsels independently)
  • Supporting the distribution team in selling transactions to potential investors
  • Managing relationships with external legal counsels as well as internal legal, documentation & risk teams.
  • Handling & managing post-closing matters, on a need basis, such as covenant compliance, condition subsequent, special client requirements, or one-off amendment processes
  • 10-14 years or more experience in Investment Banking or Structured Finance.
  • Previous experience of working on multi-bank transactions
  • Strong credit, legal, regulatory knowledge, and marketing/business development skills are mandatory.
  • Thorough awareness of various financial products/services.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to perform as a team player
  • MBA / CAs preferred. CFA is a plus
  • Personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities
Origination and Structuring
  • Support deal origination efforts with both prospective and existing clients
  • Work closely with internal (Coverage, risk management, Legal, Compliance, etc) and external (Clients, other Banks, Legal Counsels, etc) stakeholders to structure deals meeting the requirement of all the parties.
  • Fronting discussions with internal stakeholders, including senior management, risk management as well as other operational teams
  • Putting together and negotiating structures (viz pitch books, discussion papers, term sheets, etc) that make a transaction bankable and executable within reasonable timelines and also meet client requirements.
Execution
  • Closely working with external (client, participating banks & external legal counsels) and internal (documentation, legal, relationship & risk teams) for successful execution of facility agreement within the overall parameters & timelines
Other Areas
Handling & managing post-closing matters, on a need basis, such as covenant compliance, condition subsequent, special client requirements, or one-off amendment processes
