Job Description

As the Director, IT Operations at Zendesk, you will lead the Employee Experience Systems Teams based in Krakow, Poland or Pune, India. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing a Digital Employee Experience Assessment, Strategy, and 3-year plan. You will recruit, onboard, and develop talented IT professionals and third-party providers to support and deliver applications end-to-end. Additionally, you will create mechanisms and processes for onboarding and offboarding of business systems for your services. You will be responsible for conducting monthly and quarterly business partner alignment forums in collaboration with CIO leadership to enhance business relationships and expand the scope of service. As an ambassador for IT to Zendesk staff, you will focus on building the brand of Best in class IT at scale while ensuring exceptional customer service. Managing the smooth running of all IT systems, including cloud-based applications and local hardware policies, will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should be passionate about cloud tools and continuously learning how to manage them in an enterprise environment. With over 10 years of experience in IT, including 6+ years in management and at least 2+ years managing managers/senior managers, you should have the ability to travel 10-20% and work flexible hours to connect with global peers and partners. Your collaborative and upbeat work ethic, along with your ability to lead the team to meet deliverables and drive work to completion within specified timelines, will be essential. Preferred qualifications for this role include a passion for the Digital Employee Experience, superior leadership skills, experience in leading application support & delivery for Employee Experience applications, and the ability to support internal customers effectively. You should be a natural problem solver, flexible in managing priorities, and skilled in decision-making. Working with colleagues and senior leaders to deliver ideas and solutions to various audiences, including your team and C-Staff, will also be part of your responsibilities. This role offers a hybrid experience, combining onsite work with remote flexibility. You will be required to attend the local office for part of the week, with the specific in-office schedule determined by the hiring manager.
