What Will Your Job Look Like

The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction to influence revenues, profitability, customer satisfaction, employee development & morale, quality, product development & management. You will lead engineering across multiple functional areas, including development, quality assurance, data architecture, and devops. You will help continuously improve and drive the agile software development lifecycle, including prioritization, planning, iteration, deployment, release, and support.

Main Duties

  • Lead the engineering team to execute in a highly agile environment
  • Drive processes for code deployment and synchronization across environments
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the organization
  • Champion initiatives to align engineering standards and processes
  • Participate in roadmap estimation and resource alignment to meet organizational goals
  • Responsible for people development, resource management and enhancing overall productivity
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPIs to inspire individuals to achieve high performance
  • Implement development plans and coach individuals to reach their maximum talent
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address performance issues in a timely manner
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
  • Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan
  • Direct and manage development partner relationships

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

An Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 15+ years relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of significant hands-on experience in specific areas of competence such as database, web service/API development, user interface, devops
  • 7+ years relevant technical leadership experience including responsibility for organizational objectives and measurements
  • Experience and knowledge of the industry
  • Complete software development life cycle–from concept to delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership in root cause analysis and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated leadership in agile software development environments
  • Effective at planning project work streams for individuals and teams
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing
  • Expertise in system performance analysis and tuning
  • Experience with continuous integration systems
  • Experience using git, or other source control systems
  • Exceptional communication skills
