Director, Data Operations

As a Head of Alternatives Data Operations at Addepar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence, data quality, and timely delivery of critical Alternatives Data. Your strategic problem-solving skills and innovative thinking will be key in building impactful teams and driving operational transformation. Here's what you'll be responsible for: Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Alternatives and Market data operations in alignment with business objectives - Collaborate with senior leadership to understand evolving needs and drive innovation within the data operations function - Oversee operational workflows for alternatives data and market data feeds to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution - Implement process controls to maintain quality standards, achieve deliverables, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to scale impact globally - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to modernize infrastructure, tools, and processes for improved data quality and operational efficiency - Manage a global team, promote knowledge sharing, and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture - Mentor managers/leads and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members Qualifications Required: - Minimum 18+ years of professional experience in data operations or related field within financial services or wealth tech industry - Extensive experience with Alternatives Data is a must; Market Data experience is a plus - Proven track record of improving data quality and operational efficiency through automation and modern tools - Strong project management and analytical skills with experience in leading change management - Experience in leading global teams, cross-functional projects, and learning initiatives - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, external partners, and stakeholders - Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies like SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms - Ideally, experience in both financial services companies and product/platform led businesses Please note that this role requires working from the Pune office at least 3 days a week in a hybrid work model.
